Sadaqatul Fitr – It is also sometimes referred to as ‘Zakat al Fitr’. It is compulsory upon every sane Muslim with enough wealth above their basic needs. Fathers should give it on behalf of their children. The amount to be given is equivalent to 1 sa’ of dates or barley. Sadaqatul Fitr is given at the end of Ramadhan, before Eid salah.
